ABOUT
Ernest Cadegan is an artist living in rural Nova Scotia. With Camera close at hand on his daily outings, his disciplined eye looks into the landscape for the things most people don't notice - and he finds them - photographing isolated moments in time and space, and then making them into masterful images in his studio. Cadegan's painterly approach reduces what he find in nature to succinct, zen-like simplicity, sometimes bordering on the abstract.
The resulting images are always evocative and seem to talk to people. Perhaps this is because they are real and recognizable, and perhaps also because they convey a sense of calm and peacefulness that is so comforting to experience.
Images of Landscape and Life is a dynamic collection with new work added regularly. Produced by the artist using archival inks and papers, the images are available as open edition prints, in frames, or unframed and matted. Signed limited edition prints are available in larger formats with or without frames. In addition, these images are also available in high-quality greeting cards.
Many of the images in this Landscape and Life Collection are dramatically composed in the artist's hallmark panorama format. Fine art prints and greeting cards from the Landscape and Life Collection are available for sale at select retailers and art galleries, or through the artist's website.
